This model allows you to mount the stock fuel gauge from an NA Miata into a 52mm gauge port (May work on NB, but have only verified on '96NA). This is very handy if you are running a data acquisition unit or a PiDash style dash. Requires removal of stock fuel gauge from stock cluster (Several tabs and 3 screws) and splicing into one wire on one of the two gauge cluster plugs.
Uses 7mm long M3 embedment nuts inserted into the 5mm holes on the gauge mount. M3x25mm socket cap screws are used to hold the stock gauge in place.
Use the stock power harness (short harness with red and white wires. You will have to remove it when removing the gauge from the cluster.) with the red wire attached to the left lug and white wire attached to the center lug. I had to add a couple of washers to make sure the wires were tight. You could also use a shorter M3 screw. Check the labeling on the rear of the gauge cluster to find which wire on the harness to splice into for the signal. On a '96 NA it is the yellow wire on the white plug.
