Catenary Pole Based off the the ones found along the Amboy Secondary between South Amboy and New Brunswick. Model is parted out to make printing on an FDM printer and can be optionally assembled Either with the solid beam cross brace or with one made out of strung wire. Both are found along the prototype, with modern decay of the infrastructure often lacking both.
To Print on an SLA Printer arrange the parts in your preferred orientation and print the parts directly.
For Best results on an FDM Slice the Primary Pole, Secondary Pole, and Brace in half with your preferred slicing software. Orient the pieces flat on the build plate with details facing up. The rest of the details can then be printed just with their flattest sides down.
Assembly of the parts is made easier by locator holes. The HV and LV arms fit into notches on the primary pole, the Insulators can be attached either directly or with drilled wire to the hanger. Poles friction fit into the magnetic bases. Larger holes on the Poles are for wire catenary hangers, the solid brace lines up with the upper 2 mid pole holes. 2 Smaller holes on the sides of each pole are in case you want to add support cable detail to the ground, holes on the top of the pole are intended for a piece of wire to go from the pole to the ends of the HV hangers. The caps glue to the top of each pole. On an FDM printer the only added step is gluing the halves of the structure together.
