Summary

I love surf fishing, but I can never get my bait out far enough, so I designed this fishing line servo release system for multirotors. Let your craft take out the bait, then activate the servo to drop the line.

It was designed to use a Tower Pro MG90S servo, but other micro servos would probably work.

You will need some sort of shaft (I used a 5mm steel shaft piece out of an old printer) and a way to hook it up to the servo. I just soldered a short piece of stiff wire to the shaft and ran it to the servo horn.

I printed with ABS set to 0.2mm layer, 50% infill, no supports, and it turned out fairly sturdy. I may do another with 100% infill to compare.

Happy Fishing!
