Summary

Thank you so much for liking, collecting and downloading my files! This project was created as an entry for the Assistive Technology Challenge here on Thingiverse in order to gain a bit publicity and to spread it to the proper audience. Please follow me to get more printable assistive devices in the future!

Disclaimer! Use it at your own risk. I am not responsible for any harm that may occur to people and any object by flaws in your prints or inappropriate usage. Mine could handle a bit above 0.5kg as you can see on the bottle picture, but please be sure to carefully test its reliability before applying anything heavy onto it! Also be aware that the nuts and screws may not be perfect on every printer. Don't forget to try the test files at the top before printing everything!

Mug Holder - Recidal Design

Is for everyone who need help with lifting a cup, mug, glass, can, or even a bottle to drink. It can enable you to drink directly through a straw, as well as shorten the distance you would need for lifting it to your mouth. It is fully adjustable and should be mountable on most tables.

Because of its' fully modular nature you could easily put other stuff instead of the mug arm as well, still using the same base. You could turn it in to a phone holder, paper holder, card holder or anything that you'd like. I'll create more compatible arm-modules later on.

Why not print an extra arm that you can place directly under your nose?
Actually, this might even benefit those of you without a disability. Ever felt like needing an extra hand? Maybe you are a gamer that wants to drink without taking your hands off the mouse and keyboard? Maybe you're a late night programmer or writer that desperately need you coffee while under pressure of a deadline? Do you often have one too many and can't hold the glass straight? Well, maybe you're just the lazy kind? Could you relate to any of this? Then give it a try!

NOTE: All parts should fit and be assembled properly. If you are having issues please send me a pm for assistance! Also let me know if you need the old files.

The old Mug Holder V1 will still continue to be available, but I've abandoned it completely. If you really want to use it instead, please print it at 0.2mm and 50% infill for the best performance. Keep in mind to adjust the file for the appropriate height.
