Summary

This little tank is designed to allow my students to prototype their robotic ideas.

It has some significant improvements over my previous versions of tracked robots.

Making use of 22mm skateboard bearings, improved ground clearance and greater track flexibility, this little bot can move confidently over a wide range of terrain.

It is designed to be able to be printed on a printer >= 120mm (although if you sacrifice the top shelf you can print it in an Up! Mini)

There are a number of different versions of this tank to come out, with this first one designed for prototyping in the classroom. It runs off a Tamiya 70097 Twin-Motor Gearbox Kit, but the rest of the electronics are up to you. In the video linked below it is running with a Raspberry Pi Zero W and some Pololu motor drivers and power converters.
