Summary

M2.5 x 6 screws can be expensive and difficult to find:

Thanks to 3D design software and 3D printing, you can now print out small, inexpensive objects. These pins or pegs, were designed to act as fasteners for the Pi computer to a case that I found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:922740

However, they could be modified to work with a case of choice or for various other projects that require small fasteners. The pins rely on friction to secure the computer to the case and are not threaded, though it should be noted that thread-like grooves are produced during the printing process. In the pictures provided with this project, you will notice that the pins have not been pushed flush with the computer board, and this is due to the fact that they can be very difficult to remove once they are fully inserted into the mounting holes.
