Summary

I always had the problem that the filament sensor on my Anycubic Vyper was bending upwards when loading the filament from above. So I designed a holder for it, which is very strong and durable.

Here comes the assembly instruction:

  1. Print the model "Filament_Sensor_Halterung v3" (Do not use PLA if you are printing in an enclosure because of temperatures above the glas-transition-point of PLA (60°C))
  2. Demount the original sensor by unscrewing it and deconnecting the cable
  3. Cut off the mounting plate of the original filament sensor
  4. Screw the Sensor with two M2,5 screws and nuts into the holder
  5. Connect the wire to the sensor
  6. Mount the holder with the original screws
Optional: Insert a short PTFE-tube into the opening, so that there is no annoying noise when the filament is pulled in

The thin metal plate will no longer be used.
