The file 'Motorhome Mushroom (air Vent) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 851.5KB.
This is a 3d-printer-optimized model for replacing motorhome/caravan mushrooms (air vents) commonly fitted in bathroom ceilings. I haven't yet printed the model to replace the aging mushrooms on my motorhome but I have printed a template (included as an stl) to verify that the screw holes align well. I have also included a low height 190mm diameter stl file for testing if the printer can handle such a big print.
The original item consists of 5 different plastic parts, from top to bottom:
I have modeled and made available the upper two parts. I will update this thing when I get to model the other parts too.
No.1 will most probably print without supports top-down if you use a low layer height. Max diameter is 190mm so make sure your bed is large enough by first printing the 190mm template stl. My 200x200x200mm Tevo Tarantula is barely able to handle such a diameter due to the large hotend fan duct.
No.2 will definitely need supports in any printing orientation but I felt I should not simplify the model.
I expect that in order for this thing to withstand the elements it would need to be coated with a UV varnish after sanding.
Enjoy and please comment and post your prints!
