This is a motorcycle phone mount for the iPhone 7, specifically designed for my iPhone 7 that has a Griffin Survivor case on it. This is a very specific design for my case, but you could perhaps adapt it by adding some padding (weatherstrip tape) to the inside of the mount case to adapt other phones without changing the design. The mounting bracket is also designed to fit a 2016 Honda Africa Twin.
To assemble use 3x M4x30 stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts to go with it. To mount the case to the base mounts use 4x M4x15 s/s countersunk screws with washers and nuts. Nylock nuts or some threadlock are recommended for all.
To mount it I used zip ties, I made the mount slightly oversize so accommodate some padding material between the handlebars and the mount. A piece of inner tube rubber will work perfectly or in my case all I had was weatherstrip tape.
I printed this in PLA as a prototype but this will absolutely not withstand heat and/or direct sunlight. I will experiment with PETG and ABS soon.
I will also at some stage make different versions for different phones and mounts for different bikes. I also want to design a mounting system that uses nuts and bolts instead of zip ties.
