The file 'Moravian Star / Herrnhuter Stern 620 Mm 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.7MB.
my family wanted a big Christmas Star. (620 mm)
on thingiverse I found a smaller version and revised it or created it from scratch. (unfortunately I don't know the source anymore)
After the first stars were ready, a narrower version without any jagged sides should be created.
So you can choose whether a whole star with side points should be made or a star with flattened side parts
prints the tips with 2 walls without bottom and infill.
the cable frame and the cable tip with 2 walls 15% cubic infill and 4 bottom and top layers.
(the flat sides as well)
(the tips can also be created in vase mode, just make sure that they are stable enough.)
the cable frame is available in 2 versions, one with a thread for an E14 screw socket, one without.
the following parts are required for a whole star:
17 large tips
8 small tips
1 cable frame
1 cable tip
2 Keys
the following parts are required for a narrow star:
7 large tips
2 side panels
1 cable frame
1 cable tip
2 Keys
I used hot glue to assemble it.
simply apply hot glue to the tips on the flat sides at the bottom and press the tips together.
only makes one glue point at a time
