This is my moravian star for christmas decoration. With a 0.8mm wall thickness the star can be illuminated easily.
Every tip is printed separately and then glued to the inner sphere. For better quality print each tip separately (slow) or for speed print all tips at once.
You will need 18 square tips and 8 triangular tips and 1 sphere per star.
For illuminating the small star i used an 2835 SMD led similar to this http://tinyurl.com/34wc3446. A normal 3mm or 5mm led should work as well.
