I wanted to make a custom moosehead bridge for my wife to use with her pool league. I thought that I would share it here for others to use and modify.
It's patterned after a cheap one my wife bought years ago. The only issue with this is the rubber grommet. I haven't found a source for them yet, but I did design a grommet mold to be 3d printed and then filled with RTV rubber, then cured. I'll be adding that to this project as soon as I test it.
UPDATE: I've added another model, this one has fillets.
UPDATE: I've designed a bridge grommet mold and a bridge grommet. I have tested this mold and it works perfectly. I printed it out on our Zortrax in ABS at high resolution. I used a very soft RTV mold material to inject into the mold and it demolded with no problem. I tried printing the grommet directly with flexible filament but it just isn't flexible enough. Also I made the center piece of the grommet to fit a 1/4" (6.3mm) thick moosehead bridge. So if you use the grommet with a moosehead bridge that you 3d printed you will need to increase the z dimension so that your moosehead bridge comes out that thick. I did this because I wanted to laser cut the moosehead bridge out of an exotic wood (I used mahogany).
