Summary

MoonLight

This nightlight or desk lamp is a model of our Moon's surface illuminated by a subterranean crown. Twisting the surface turns the light on and off.

The most visible topographic feature is the giant far-side South Pole–Aitken basin, some 2,240 km (1,390 mi) in diameter, the largest crater on the Moon and the largest known crater in the Solar System.

Supplies

  • All parts printed, 0.15 layer height suggested
  • 4 x Bright white 5mm LEDs (here)
  • 1 x 9 Volt battery
  • 1 x 200 Ohm resistor
  • Wire or this Electric Paint as I used. Very useful for building circuits on printed objects.
  • Krazy Glue or Gorilla Glue (the only two I trust)
