The file 'MonoTank – Fantasy Design 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 18.4MB.
Fictional MonoTank model kit.
Designed from scratch, based on my own layout and designs.
Main wheel can rotate around central tub and turrets can rotate.
About 160mm in diameter at original scale
Wheels and turrets have the option to use 6mm diameter, 2mm thick magnets to hold them together (the bottom ones are loose and requrie fixing of some sort but the top ones are less affected by gravity) and allow removal. There are separate STL files for these 2 different wheel parts (middle-mag; outer-mag) with the other outer part able to be glued as normal.
Most of the parts can be printed without supports but a small number require supports or brims; these have been highlighted in the layouts (S-support; B-brim).
There are 64 individual items, some of which need multiples, so there are a few bits to print. The stl files are created to (hopefully!) to cater for all parts and layout on a normal Prusa print bed.
Fitting them is the fun part and most bits should fit easily, the prototype had everything moving but it will be a bit of a puzzle. The pictures should help with most things. Just a bit of care to line up the body parts to ensure clearance to the main wheel, and gun barrels may be tight.
STL Sets have tried to keep similar parts close to each other.
I will try and create instructions if requested.
This is the first iteration put to the site so any issue do let me know.
Hopefully you enjoy the model!
