The file 'Modular Wine Rack 3D Printer Model' is (zip, stl, skp) file type, size is 479.2KB.
I was thinking about making larger things with a makerbot, but given the available print area that means breaking it down into parts.
So I had the idea to break larger objects down into multiple "modular" components for assembly.
A wine rack seemed to make sense because its real object, has to hold weight, is relatively simple in form and because its allows expression of the modular nature by adding to it when you need to.
This is just an experiment I don't know if the "pin" mechanism I've used to hold it together will be strong enough, or if the units will tolerate bearing weight.
If anyone prints out even a single unit please let me know how it works (I've got a few weeks to go before my bot turn up).
