The file 'Modular Pegboard 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 149.0KB.
This is a prototype modular pegboard kit comprised of the following:
The pegboard conforms to standard 1" pegboard conventions and multiple pieces can be assembled into one board with the wall mounts.
The supports and mounts will position the rear side of the pegboard 1/2" away from the wall.
The peg caps used to secure the pegboard to the mounts are meant to be snug and if printed at the same resolution as the mounts will fit very precisely and 'click' in right up to the board with a little pressure applied. They are intentionally tight and hard to remove - fair warning.
The tolerances on this are quite low - a 1/64" difference between the pegs and the peg holes for example. I printed on my Bambu P1S and all worked perfectly without any adjustments.
I have mounted mine to the wall with command strips attached to the mounts, as the weight of my RC tools is not much and this is just a prototype. I recommend using the screw holes on the double and quad mounts for wall mounting.
After spending some time twisting and pulling at the first iteration, I have identified that the weak point of this design is the peg's connection to the mounts. When this shears through removing the caps or by general rough use prior to mounting, the pegs can become lodged in the caps or in the pegboard - requiring removal.
My solution to this problem will be to have a separate peg and place a hole in the mount for this. I will update the files and amend this description when I have done so.
