The file 'Modular DNA Base Pair Surfaces 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 574.5KB.
These are surface representations of individual DNA base pairs. They can be printed and assembled to form an idealized DNA double helix. These models can be useful for showing students how individual base pair units can assemble into a double helix. Major and minor groove are easy to distinguish and for more advanced students it is possible to recognize individual base pairs (look for the large bulge of the 5-methyl of T!) in the helix.
There are four models due to how they are pinned, but the models are interchangable so you can generate any DNA duplex sequence.
