I liked this altar and thought it was perfect for a demonic wedding we are planning to break up in a D&D game later tonight. I used tinkercad to quickly cut off the skull before slicing that part in half and mirroring it. Then I printed it in wood fillament and painted it.
For the base and stand I used hammered metal, for the rest I will use basic hobby paints. A bit of liquid green stuff to hide the seam on the book before I paint it to look like paper.
After I had already painted it I went back and lowered the height of the base (and matching edge on bottom of stand) to a height of 3mm. The original 4mm felt too tall. I also cut out an area for a mini to stand AT the altar as in it's current state it will require it's own square.
These additional changes won't be seen in the picture once I add it, as I had already printed the part when I made them.
