A pretty cool looking lampshade for any light source you like.
For mounting the shade to its cap, you'll need:
I finished the surface with a lot of sanding and painting.
If you want to use the same light source as I did, you can do so by printing Bulb.stl, Bulb lid.stl and Bulb diffusor.stl. The diffuser should then be printed with an according filament.
In the bulb, there is space for a PCB and some electronics and on its outside you can mount an LED-strip (only need to drill some holes for cables). I used 60 WS2812b LEDs of a 144LEDs/m strip and an ESP8266 on a Wemos D1 Mini to control the LEDs.
To help keep the bulb hanging straight, I used a polished 85mm long piece of 10mm outside and 8mm inside diameter steel rod.
If you are printing this thing, make it better or something, I would love to hear about that!
