Hi,
Before you make the lamp you need a few components.
When you have those you should be good to go, the design is made to fit everything it can be tricky to connect the LED strip to the controller so I suggest you soldering everything and than pull the LED strip with the controller trough the hole of the 3d printed piece "Bottom.stl".
You can also choose how high your lamp will be if you only print the pieces "Top.stl" and "Bottom.stl" you have the smallest one.
