A collection of sanding blocks used to sand model rocket body tubes. Sized and marked according to tube size.
I've had the best luck printing them at 0.2mm layer height.
ST-20 Sanding Block is for the Estes Mercury Redstone Scale model.
76mm Sanding Block (3") is for the Estes Big Daddy model.
Finishing Instructions:
Once your sanding block is printed, there are a few steps to get satisfactory results from its use.
Step 1: Wrap a piece of medium sandpaper (120-220 grit) around a body tube of corresponding size, grit facing outward.
Step 2: Use this sandpaper wrapped body tube as a temporary sanding block to finish smoothing out the radius on your 3D printed sanding block.
Step 3: Sand the radius until it is smooth. Do Not over-sand the radius, just enough to knock down the high spots.
