A model rocket, theoretically suitable for launch. This is sized for use with any standard A, B or C model rocket motor. Due to weight (plastic being heavier than cardboard) I suspect that it will require a higher end C motor to launch satisfactorily.
The .stl files are needed for actual model creation. This was originally made in Autodesk 3DS Max and the .3ds file is included for anyone who wishes to edit it.
This is specifically designed to be printed on a MakerBot or RepRap style printer. The few limited overhangs involved should be well within the abilities for these style printers. The largest pieces are 10cm vertical and only a couple cm across.
The file units used were mm
And a final word of warning: Be at a very safe distance if and when you try and launch this! It's an untested design (even if based off of many generic model rockets) printed on a home printer. You are putting explosives in the tail end. Best of luck and stand clear!
