12/9/15 I made a newer improved 10 part version with interlocking parts. The model is split in half and will need to be glued. This will be the BEST way to print the bow and it will provide a lot of strength printed with this orientation. They are sized for a 12" print bed. You could always scale them down though for your printer. The dove tail grooves have tolerances of .4mm to allow easy snapping together.
This Bow was modeled in Fusion360 based on an image of Auriel's bow. I did my own interpretation of the bow topology. This is strictly fan art and cannot be sold. This is not an official model.
I tried to chop it up into manageable pieces. I printed mine vertically which was faster (11 parts) but it came out pretty fragile. I split those prints up into a 22 part job. That way you can print the parts flat on the bed for extra strength. If you have a 12" printer I would print the 10 part grooved set.
I included a 3 part print for those of you with larger printers.
If you guys need any additional cuts let me know. I also included a complete model of the bow so you can chop it up yourself
