Here is a Pan and Tilt Gimbal, with a retractable main frame. The dome is a snap-on fit to the rotation ring, allowing for quick and easy access to the Mobius to start and stop recording, power on and off, switch modes, etc. When utilizing the retractable mainframe, the pan servo is mounted on an vibration, isolation bracket, which helps reduce the amount of vibration transferred from the aircraft. The mainframe is capable of lowering the dome 45mm below the mounting surface, as well as raising it completely above for retractable operations. This is currently in BETA form, and will require a bit of DIY tweaking. All bolt holes are designed for 3mm bolts and nuts, using nylon washers to separate moving components. It operates via 3 HS85 servo's, or equivalent. If you plan to use this gimbal on a multi rotor or any other use that would not utilize the retract function, simply mount the pan servo directly to your vehicle.
