Feeder/Filament cooler for aluminium body Mk8 Extruders on Creality CR-10. On long prints with lots of retraction, thermal transmission from the warm stepper motor drive to the filament, can cause it to easily compress and go out of shape while its being fed, having seen that most Mk8's ship with a heat-sink covering the drive area, I decided to knock up this quick filament cooler, ensuring a flow of cool air over the filament, and around the head of the stepper motor.
Easily installed over a Mk8 extruder, and for the CR-10 in particular this acts as a handy cable guide for the wiring that runs up to the print head, may also be of use on some other printer designs perhaps, but the CR-10 with updated Metal feeder was my primary use for this.
Hope someone finds it useful!
