I recently uploaded my first version of a minimalistic wallet - without a clip for bank notes (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1514711).
I had an idea on how to make a really simple "clip", and of course had to try it :)
When you have printed two parts, combine them with one Ø17mm and one Ø70mm rubberband. Since they are elastic, the exact size is not critical. I only had Ø17mm O-rings for this project, so I glued 4 together for my almost-Ø70mm band.
I have to say I like this version over the original for being even simpler. However, I think the original version will be more sturdy, without the long rubber band getting intangled in other things in your pocket. And therefore the original version will probably still be my preferred design.... But it is you filament, so you decide ;)
