Summary

Minimalistic and easy to print folding feet for laptop rear side elevation and better air flow.
I designed them for my Lenovo ultrabook 720s which is very thin, powerful, but super hot when processor is moderately loaded. Feet are 5mm thick when folded, which is 1mm taller than stock rear elevated pad. When unfolded the rising is 30mm - good enough for much better ventilation.

Parts can be printed as is together, then use metal rod made from standard paperclip - cut 20mm long piece and connect two parts. Then use strong 3M double-side adhesive foam to connect base to laptop as shown on pictures. Hint: flatten about 1-2mm of metal rod end after inserting it, then press that flattened area in - it will keep the rod securely in place.

It's currently V1 and requires some testing. Feet hold folded position but are loose when unfolding, need to add some sort of lock for that position.

UPDATE(2024-09-24): Added V3 version with rounded edges to better fit style of laptops with round feet.

UPDATE(2024-09-17): If you are looking for stronger feet for heavier laptop, or just prefer more durable option, there is a multi-hinged flip feet model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6769081

UPDATE(2024-09-12) : Added more slim V1 version - 15mm wide, for lighter and smaller ultrabook. It requires shorter 15mm long metal rod cut from standard paperclip.

UPDATE(2024-08-03) : Added V2 version with wider 1.8mm tunnel to use thicker metal rod or M2x20mm bolt, based on provided feedback.
