Summary

Adaptor mount for the Mini Skyhunter to allow installation of larger props without increasing the risk of hitting your hand when launching. A 10inch prop fits perfectly, and doesn't protrude beneath the fuselage.

This mount is also moves the propeller further away from the body, reducing some of the turbulent air reaching the prop.

The mount is designed to screw onto the balsa motor mounting plate provided with the Skyhunter, which should be installed as per the instructions. I used 4 3x20mm general purpose screws to mount the printed parts to the balsa motor mount plate. I also used 4 3x20mm general purpose screws to attach the motor to the 2nd printed motor part. These parts are separate to allow you to print the larger part with a smaller infill (10-20%) to reduce weight, and a greater infill (~50%) for the part interfacing directly with the motor. Once the motor is screwed in place, secure the two printed parts with a glue of your choice.

This is designed for a 2317 brushless motor, with the mounting holes sitting on a 34mm diameter circle.

I used eSun PLA+ with good results.
