Minecraft Obsidian Ore Nightlight I made for my son some time ago. About 80mm in size.
Nightlight uses a small section of white LED strip that runs on 12v. I salvaged a 12v power pack to power the LEDs and soldered them to the end of the LED strip. The strip is simply stuck to the Base with the leads orientated to pass through the cutout in the diffuser and block.
I used clear resin to make an internal diffuser. This makes the light look even through the holes that are intended to be the lightest colour sections in the ore block. You could possibly use paper or a translucent white sheet of plastic (milk bottles?) instead of printing a diffuser and glue them to the inside of the block. The base and main block are printed in black resin, and should all assemble without glue.
I haven't tried this with a FDM printer, so your mileage may vary, but I can't see it being an issue if orientated right.
