Summary

This is a simple tube with a conical spike (cone) on the end. I designed this to act as a ground spike / peg to hold standard fibreglass military surplus tent poles in place. This is especially useful if you using these poles as a guyed antenna mast for amateur (ham) radio operations. Please attach this to the last pole segment first before attempting to assemble the mast to ensure ease of placement.

The inner diameter of this piece is 46mm. The standard diamanter of military surplus tent poles is around 45.25mm. Depending on the precision of your printer, you may want to upscale this to 101% or 102% to obtain a better (looser) fit.

Use a temperature, deformation, heat and UV resistant material such as ASA for the best results.
