Summary

Easier filament unloading with filament guide for Creality CR10 V2 with Micro Swiss Direct Drive extruder.

When unloading filament, I found when I pushed the filament through to expel the melted filament, instead the filament would bend between the filament sensor and the Micro-Swiss provided filament guide.

This remix is two pieces, which add an additional filament guide between the filament sensor and the Micro-Swiss provided filament guide.

It works on my Creality CR10 V2, I don't know if it'll work on the V3 but I suspect it will.

Required:

You will also need:

  • a (roughly) 40mm length of bowden tube
  • the spare bowden coupler from the Micro Swiss set (or dig the coupler out of the MS-provided guide)

Suggested installation:

1) Remove filament, remove bowden tube from Micro Swiss filament guide, remove MS filament guide (if you're using the bowden coupler from the MS-provided guide, remove this now)
2) Insert the bowden coupler into the updated filament guide, and attach the guide to the printer using the MS-provided screws
3) Insert the 40mm bowden tube into the sensor-end guide
4) Push the other end of the bowden tube into the filament guide, while pushing the sensor-end guide over the sensor
5) Re-attach the main bowden tube to the other end of the filament guide
