Summary

This is a micro fidget switch that operates in a similar way to other designs of this fidget. The parts can be printed in less than an hour, and it provides a satisfying click.

The one I made feels about the same as a light switch. This can be good as a fidget toy to have on your desk, and is small enough to take with you anywhere. They might also be good as props in a flight simulator setup. The entire design requires no metal components and instead uses the properties of different 3D printed materials to operate.

I used 95A Priline TPU in black to make a durable, shock-proof outer case.

Polymaker clear PETG was used to make the flex plate. PETG is a self lubricating plastic, which should reduce wearing on the mechanism. It's also more flexible.

At the time of uploading, my flex plate broke cleanly in the center. Print it laying flat and not vertically!!!

The actual switch is PLA, for a material that is easy to print and is dimensionally accurate.

Note: I remade both the switch and flex plate from PETG. Since it's the same material, operation seems smoother, quieter, and the action is lighter than the PLA one. It also seems like it would wear less.

Have fun printing and enjoy the results!
