First off, I loved this idea. It adds so much character to the game! I just made a few tweaks to make it easier (for me) to print and figured i'd share. First off, I noticed the original model has over 3 million triangles which took my RTX 3060 over 6 minutes to slice. I popped it into 3D Builder and got it down to just over 200k, which runs MUCH more smoothly through the slicer.
Then I cut the model into individual pieces. Helps out for folks without a multi-color setup, and it prevents a ton of waste for those of us that DO have multi-color setups. Should be straightforward to glue everything back together. This should also help drastically reduce the need for intricate supports. Some parts likely will still require them, but this should help.
I noticed the station is hollow with a flat inside roof, same with the train. Not sure how well that would print so I filled them in to be solid objects. More filament but nicer outcome, they're not that big. Also sliced the station in half lengthwise. Print the two halves on their (inboard) long side.
Kudos again to the OP, very cool idea!
