Meta Quest 3 VR Gun stock
Overview
The Meta Quest 3 VR Gunstock is designed specifically for the Quest 3, providing good tracking stability and precision for your FPS VR gaming experience. It is easy to attach and detach, very light, almost unnoticeable when using pistols and it is compatible with fabric battery cover replacement knuckle straps (Not tested with AMVR straps).
Required Components
- PTFE Tubing (2mm ID, 4mm OD)
- M4 Screws (10-14mm length, 1x)
- M3 Screws (6-10mm length, 4x)
- Aluminum Tubing (8mm outer diameter, 2 pieces):
- Recommended lengths: 250mm and 350mm.
- If you are planning to use the cheek rest, add 80mm long piece of aluminum tubing and 2x M3 screws
Printing and assembly Instructions
- Print the latch.stl with 0.1mm layer height. Everything else should work with 0.2mm layers. I suggest printing parts with ABS or PETG, as PLA might be too brittle.
- Print either the stock.stl or the stock-for-cheek-rest.stl and cheek-rest.stl if you are planning to use the cheek rest.
- Print the tpu_grip_insert.stl using soft TPU filament, or find somewhere 1mm thick rubbery material and glue it in left-controller-grip.stl.
- (important) Insert two pieces of PTFE tubing into the latch.stl to prevent scratches.
- Put everything together and align to your liking in VR, then drill holes in the aluminum tubes corresponding to the attachment points using a 2.5mm drill bit.
- Screw everything together using M3 screws.
- Enjoy :)
