Summary

Add an ultrawide monitor to your keyboard!

Strongly mounted using the original standoffs and PCB / acrylic sandwich

Required hardware:

  • 2x m3x12mm screws, or longer
  • 2x m3 nylock nuts

Assembly Information:

Hinge parts should be printed in PETG for best hinge action. PLA doesn't have enough give to it to properly adjust the hinge angle, however you can always just tighten it down to a set angle or use a spring washer. Assemble hinge before installing on keyboard, tighten until it cannot move and then loosen it until it snaps between angles easily but holds firmly.

Keyboard Hinge Mount Instructions:

  1. Remove the clear acrylic panel and the bottom plate from the board
  2. Completely remove the 4 brass standoffs on the top left and right of the board where the hinges will mount
  3. Slide the hinge mounts onto the PCB so the holes line up, larger one goes on the left
  4. Insert the brass standoffs into the holes of the 3D printed part, if they are tight you may want to carefully drill them larger
  5. Once the standoffs are inserted flush reassemble the keyboard as usual using the stock screws
