I created a 3D model of the tip of my Meade Giant Field Tripod (used with an LX-200 12" telescope). If your Meade tripod has 3" diameter top legs, it's probably a Giant field tripod.
Then, I used this 3D model to "cut out" the tip of the tripod from a mounting block so that I could use them to fix the tripod onto the top of a homemade wooden tripod dolly I built.
