This is a three part cabin air filter for Mazda Miata MX-5 NB specifically designed for quick and easy filter changes. The main advantage over other solutions is that cowl and rain tray panel do not need to be removed with each filter change. The tool serves to install and remove the filter, and to lock it up in place. The housing is designed to hold the same cabin air filter as the 2015 Renault Espace V (Febi 100364 filter fits perfectly) for the following reasons: size, price and availability (not sure for markets outside Europe though). Trim the filter ends on the bottom side if needed so that it lies flat on the housing.
Installation note: Upper-lower connection of the housing is intentionally a tight fit so the upper part does not ever lift. It is recommended to assemble the housing beforehand and file some material off if it does not fit e.g. due to printing imperfections.
