As the PU foam of my armrest was crumbling I designed some new armrests similar to the old design.
I tested the design in 2 versions. One in TPU 95(Sainsmart) and one in TPU 85A (Ninjatek Ninjaflex).
I prefer Ninjaflex TPU for this design (use 15% gyroid infill) as I like the feeling and the cushioning of that one the most. If you want to print using TPU95 I got the best results when changing the infill from gyroid to aligned rectilinear 15%.
I had a couple of failures with Ninjaflex on my X1C and tried some rear mounted bearing based spool holder but in the end it was due to the filament being too tightly wound around the spool. I (manually) rewound the spool and everything went fine.
I've been using them for a couple of weeks now and they are holding up nice.
