Summary

The Maverick is a simple to print and fly 2-stage model rocket flying on 13mm motors. Or you could fly just the upper stage for lower flights.

All you need to add is a shock cord. I used kevlar line. There is a hole by the lower launch lug that you can run a line through. Tie a knot on the outside portion of the line and cut it close. Then epoxy it to the body tube. The remaining shock cord can run out the top of the tube and attach to the nose cone. You can add a streamer to this cord to make the rocket easier to see for recovery, though it's probably not necessary considering how light the model is.

The booster stage is the inverse of the sustainer for fin design (the fins on the booster are upside down from the sustainer). You'll need to add masking tape to the motors to get a snug fit.

I've provided the openRocket file so you can run your own simulations.

Video of it's maiden flight can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIOq_XBTMyI&t=1m23s
