I recently made my own quadcopter (found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1521672) and started messing around with angled motor mounts and really liked how it's so easy to fly fast. While trying different angles I settled on 15° and I'm very happy with the performance. The main part of the frame and arms is 6mm thick with the front/rear inner sections being 1.5mm thick and the middle inner section being 2.5mm thick. It will accept any 220X size motors with a 16x19mm mounting pattern and is designed for 4 inch props. The motor mounting holes are recessed for m3x8 screws and there is 6mm of material between the motors and screw heads. The slots in the front of the frame are made for camera mounts similar to the ones that come with the HS1177 or Runcam Swift FPV cameras. The camera bracket is threaded with m3 holes to eliminate the need for front standoffs and works with the HS1177 or Runcam Swift cameras. The bracket is 30mm tall so you would need 6 - 30mm standoffs to complete the build.
The bottom frame weighs 72.3 grams printed with 70% infill.
The top plate weighs 13.2 grams printed with 50% infill.
The camera bracket weighs 4.8 grams printed with 30% infill.
The total weight of the frame, top plate and camera bracket is 90.3 grams.
The AUW (no battery) with the following parts is 295.1 grams.
RMRC Seriously Dodo Flight Controller
Armattan Simple PDB
Pololu 5v regulator
Little Bee 20a ESCs
RMRC 2204-2600kv motors
DAL 4045BN Props
LemonRx Spektrum Satellite Rx
Aomway 200mw VTx
HobbyKing E-OSD
Runcam Swift FPV camera
Suggested batteries would be 4s from 1000mAh to 1500mAh.
Updated - 6/29/16: Added an 1806 version with 15 degree motor tilt. Download the 15Degree_1306_Mauler.stl file. It is designed to work with the existing top plate and camera mount.
