Summary

I wanted to design my own quadcopter just for the fun of it and here is what I've come up with, it's nothing special but it is strong, fairly light and flies great. It's a 180mm frame that will accept 1306 and 1806 motors and 4" props (220X version will be done in a day or so) and is designed with a bit of motor protection by extending the ends of the arms out slightly. The camera bracket is threaded with m3 holes to eliminate the need for front standoffs and works with the HS1177 camera. The bracket is 30mm tall so you would need 6 - 30mm standoffs. The Frame and top plate have a bevel on all of the edges, I will post another version without the beveled edges for those who want it.

The bottom frame weighs 66.4 grams printed with 70% infill.
The top plate weighs 15 grams printed with 50% infill.
The camera bracket weighs 5.9 grams printed with 30% infill.

The total weight of the frame, top plate and camera bracket is 87.3 grams.

The AUW (no battery) with the following electronics is 272.1 grams.

XRacer F303 Flight Controller
Armattan Simple PDB
Pololu 5v regulator
Little Bee 20a ESCs
DYS BX1806-2300kv motors
LemonRx Spektrum Satellite Rx
Aomway 200mw VTx
HobbyKing E-OSD
HS1177 FPV camera

Suggested batteries would be from 1000mAh to 1500mAh.

Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Updated - April 27, 2016: Added a version of the frame and top plate without any beveled edges. (Mauler_No_BevelV4 and Top_Plate_No_BevelV2.3)

Updated - May 5, 2016: Added a frame that will accept 220x motors. Slight changes to the frame include: Widened center braces, removed .5mm of material from the front and rear flat sections of the frame and added .5mm to the center section.

Updated - June 7, 2016: Mauler_BevelV5.stl - Added some material on the inside corners of the 3 sections (front, mid and rear) to strengthen the frame a little. moved the front/rear mounting slots closer together to better accommodate the stock HS1177 camera's metal mounting bracket.

Updated - June 7, 2016: Mauler_BevelV5-M3_Holes.stl - Added a second version that has 3mm mounting holes for some 1806 motors.
