Summary

Hi

I constructed a counting train for my children. They can learn to count in a playful way or solve simple arithmetic problems (subtracting and adding, for example). They can also come into contact with numbers for the first time. All this with a nice, practical example.

For this I have provided a locomotive and two wagons as a standard set. one wagon with numbers from 1-10 and one with figures from 11-20.

If the child loses interest in arithmetic, it can simply continue to play with the parts - or the next child can use them as toys :D The parts are designed to be as stable as possible and the wheels can be replaced if one should become closed break.

Print instructions/ Tipps:

It is possible to separate the different parts from each other. Google will help you with your individual slicer :)

When printing the wheel sets, it is helpful NOT to fill in the gaps.

Print everything with 3 Perimeters and 25% infill. Only the Axis will be stronger if you print it with 5 Perimeters.

The axis will press fit into the wagon or locomotive part. So you will need a little force to push it inside. If this force is too high you can scale the axis part down a little (99%) or use some sandpaper. I also used a small hammer or a vice press to push it in. If it is too loose do the exact opposite ,-)

If the wheels don't turn freely, there may still be a seam on the axle. These can be easily removed with a knife. In a pinch, a small drop of oil will also help.

If you use bright filament (like I did) you can make the numbers appear more by using a permanent marker :)

The wheel has a flat side and a raised side. The raised one must point in the direction of the wagon or locomotive.

Part list explanation:

Set_20: This contains all parts you need to start with: Locomotive, 2 Wagons, 20 figures and all Wheel parts. (Separate the parts in your slicer ,-))

Wagon_figures 1+: contains slots for the figures with engraved numbers from 1-10.

Wagon_figures 10+: Same as above but witih numbers from 11-20.

Wagon_ figures_no_number: With slots for the figures but without numbers engraved.

Wagon_empty 1& 2: These are only to play with or to transport pens, rubber etc :)
