I needed somewhere to store my materia (30mm ice cracked balls) for my full sized buster sword and remembered this case in the church with Tifa & Marlene, took some photo's from the movie as reference and based it around materia thats 30mm in size, this can store 8 of them but can be blown up to much larger if needed and split to print a life sized one if wanted, put some LED's at the bottom to light it all up, this model is the base one i've just started with, i'll be adding LED's at the bottom in the future so i've got some spare room.
Note - the lock needs to be sliced 0.05-0.1mm from the base for it to print flat, or use supports.
added Handles as extras.
added internal structure to hold all balls and ensure they don't touch each other or move around inside the box plus have places to put the 11x11x4.4mm lights on a 45 degree angle without intercepting the balls or the structure, they will use cr927 batteries, still waiting on the lights to arrive.
Edit: LED's finally arrived and wow i'm suprised how well it turned out, can turn the lights on with magnets swiping under the case and it lights all the materia inside really well, still waiting on extra colours to fill it up completely. so far I have black, white(blue), purple and green. Yellow/red/dark blue/white(clear) are on their way, the purple was the only one that seems more clear than purple so thinking I might have to get a non cracked version thats much darker.
