The file 'Marwen Ver1 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 894.0KB.
Holly and I are teaching a two week intro to 3D printing, modeling and scanning at Marwen, an art center for under-served youth in Chicago. Our plan is to have the students design their own action figures initially based on a templates / designs we provide. This is the first iteration of Marwen - a bit blocky perhaps - but hopefully awkward enough that the students will want to improve upon it more. I'm not really happy with the hands either - so that will be addressed in ver2. Also in version two we will optimize the parts for FDM/FFF a bit more, use less support material etc.
