Tiny Epic Quest does sell a fantastic neoprene playmat, but I wanted something more portable to hold the map in place during play.
Print 17 trays, they fit together with puzzle-style tabs and slots. A simple rubber band will bundle them up for transport.
My early designs used magnets to connect, which was cool but made for thicker trays and longer print times, and required specific magnet size/shape. These are designed to be slim and lightweight and ready to use.
What could be improved?
If I ever do a v2, it will be to tweak the design to stack/nest better for storage.
