Summary

This is an extended base for Makita trim routers (RT0700, DRT50, RT001G, etc)

Remixed from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2519083

I liked Wherzog’s design but found it was a bit flexible when printed in ABS, so I added a rib with an extra mounting bolt to stiffen it up. I also found the handle tended to come unscrewed in use, so I designed a new handle that is mounted with 2 screws instead of one. You can flip the handle around to adjust its position in or out by 15mm.

There are 2 versions of the handle, one designed for heatset inserts, the other for direct self tapping with M4 screws.

Required Hardware

  • 1x - M6x25mm cap head screw
  • 2x - M4x16-18mm flat head (countersunk) screws
  • 2x - M4x8mm heatset threaded inserts (Optional)
