The file 'Makerologist Roboderby (donkey Car Mods) 3D Printer Model' is (stl,ai,dwg, dxf) file type, size is 633.6KB.
These are my modifications to the Donkey Car base for the Makerologist Robocar Derby held in Seattle, WA.
Roll cage forward corners were chopped off for safety and to reduce print time a little.
Electronics standoffs where added to the main plate print to eliminate PCB warp from hold-downs and for Micro SD access.
Desert Monster adapters re-CADed to make posts fit snugly and to reduce print time.
Hardware holes were changed from machine screws and nuts to simple wood screws #6 – ¾” for cost and assembly ease. https://www.mcmaster.com/#97975a220/=1czfy4b
Mounting arms for the Desert Monster rear spoiler were added as optional.
In addition to the 3d print mods, a few laser cut additions were made.
To reduce camera vibration adhesive felt pads were added between the upper electronics package and lower RC car.
A "pit stand" was designed to hold the car up during calibration (designed for 2.7mm door skin).
