The file 'Magnetic “W” Letter By Causeturk 3D Printer Model' is (3mf,f3d,stl,step) file type, size is 489.4KB.
Hi,
this is the wildstyle letter "W" drawn by the by the awesome artist Causeturk. Go check out his Instagram and show some love if you like the design (link below). There is a 8x3 mm Neodymium magnet (8 mm is the diameter) in the letter so yo can put it for example on your fridge (the red surface is my fridge) or a whiteboard.
This print is not using multiextruders or multimaterial kits, it's only a colorchange in z-direction and a print pause to put in the magnet (see image).
Feel free to leave some feedback in the comments and let us see your prints.
The colorchange and the print pause are added int the .3mf sclic3r file. The hole for the magnet has got a 0.1 mm extra tolerance in x,y and z so you can put it in easily. If you have a different sized magnet go to the Fusion360 file and change the hole size accordingly and add the 0.1 mm in the circle diameter of the sketch and also on the z extrude cut. The filaments I used are linked below. I don't recommend scaling the print down, becasuse some parts may become too thin, but you can scale it up to any size.
Design:
Causeturk supplied me with the sketch of this piece (you can also find it on Instagram). I converted it to a .svg file with inkscape which then was loaded to Fusion360. Here some slight modifaction of the design had to be made, to make it FDM printable.
