Summary

Magnetic stirrer, 92 mm diameter

The number in the name of the file "Bracket for magnets" is the diameter of the motor of the fan that fits the bracket.

Instructions:

  1. Cut the fan from its frame and remove the blades.
  2. Place the 2 magnets 1 next to the other and mark their upper side.
  3. glue the magnets on the fan, with the marked side facing the same direction. or use the bracket
  4. Prepare the electronics.
  5. Glue everything in place with hot glue.

A list of what is needed:

  • 120 or 80mm computer fan
  • 12v power supply
  • 5.5*2.1mm female connector
  • 2x strong magnet with a diameter of 10mm and a height of 5mm
  • Strong glue (like epoxy)
  • (optional) 3 LEDs with a 1k resistor per LED, or a piece of 12V LED strip
  • speed controller.
PWM is the best. simple transistor or LM317 circuit can also work, But I found that with the magnets it is difficult for the fan to start with low voltage.
