Summary

This is a rework of a good pistol mount that was designed solely for the Glock, but I don't own a Glock (don't like how they fit my hand) so needed to redesign. The front opening is narrowed and now will even accept my small 380. I also created a side mount in case you wanted to mount it to something like the side of a book case, back of a dresser, etc.

If you print the side mount vertically with the nose flat against the build plate, no supports necessary. If you print it horizontally, digging out the supports in the magnetic well is a pita so I would suggest allowing that to be bridged and only having supports on the outside of the magnetic well.

The magnet well will hold four 60x10x5 mm neodymium magnets. This is strong enough to hold a 45 full framed firearm fully loaded as long as it isn't jostled too much. You can find them pretty cheap on amazon in bulk.

I did not include a backing plate as I didn't consider it necessary since that is where it will be mounted flush.
